On the proposal of Bernard Kouchner, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, the
Prime Minister appointed on 3 July an ambassador for relations with the
families and relatives of victims of flight 626 of the airline Yemenia that crashed in
off the Comoros in the night from 29 to 30 June 2009 as it did in the wake of the
disappearance of flight AF 447.
This is Christine ROBICHON, Minister Plenipotentiary. It will aim
assist families and relatives of French victims and families and
relatives residing in France the other victims, including by facilitating their relations with
the authorities concerned and with the Yemeni interlocutors.
It is also responsible for ensuring the smooth cooperation with the authorities of the countries
Parents of victims, including the Comoros and the Yemeni authorities and with the
Yemenia Airways Company.
